Roadend Nursery
Roadend Nursery website design and build.
Roadend Nursery have commissioned George design to create a new website for them.
Concept and ideas – Roadend nursery were keen to go for ‘something a bit different to reflect the unique nature of the nursery. A ‘festivally’ feel was a route agreed upon early in the project and looks vibrant and quirky with a style reminiscent of the nursery children’s output!
Key messages – Have been identified and called out in the design, and a move away from traditional navigation provides an interesting focal point for the user.
Flickr gallery – Roadend wanted to be able to easily update photos so a flickr gallery embedded into the site, using the Flickr API, was decided as the best solution. News items can be updated via the blog section.

SPL
Speciality Produce Ltd Branding, Identity & Website.
SPL have commissioned a new branding and identity for the business. They would like the new identity to appear on everything from headed paper through to HGV’s like the one above!
Identity & Logo Design – Working closely with the management, GD developed a new logo route that was symbolic of an agricultural company, yet not cliched or corny. The logo is reminiscent of a leaf without being to obvious, and the colour scheme and strong graphical shapes bring a fresh timeless approach with many uses across the brand.
Stationery and Collateral – Artworking to ensure the identity remained strong across a platform of different collateral including, stationery, clothing, signage and the website.
Website Design – SPL wanted clean and easy to use interface to announce the business to the public, whilst also having back-end features like a members log in area and CMS.
Website development – GD developed the site with multi-user back end functionality, combined with a clean, simple and contemporary user interface.

Speed – Brochure to be designed and printed in 2 days
Identity – JD Architects had no identity or logos for the ACA group, other than keywords like: clean & professional
Photo Retouch – Many of the images used were pretty bad quality but ‘just had to go in’! So photo re-touching and artworking was the order of the day!
