Daily production and content updates for the site. Liasing with merchandising and copywriting depts to produce bespoke page briefs and designs. Creating photoshop artwork & templates, then html and css builds with use of javascript libraries and Jquery.

Woodcare expert Liberon website on multiple devices

Web design and development.

Total website re-design and re-build, built on Sitecore 8, and fully responsive.
Using full screen video for initial wow factor and to ‘polish’ an otherwise dry subject matter website.
Interesting working with full screen video and providing fallbacks for tablets and phones.

SPL

Speciality Produce Ltd Branding, Identity & Website.

SPL have commissioned a new branding and identity for the business. They would like the new identity to appear on everything from headed paper through to HGV’s like the one above!

Identity & Logo Design – Working closely with the management, GD developed a new logo route that was symbolic of an agricultural company, yet not cliched or corny. The logo is reminiscent of a leaf without being to obvious, and the colour scheme and strong graphical shapes bring a fresh timeless approach with many uses across the brand.
Stationery and Collateral – Artworking to ensure the identity remained strong across a platform of different collateral including, stationery, clothing, signage and the website.
Website Design – SPL wanted clean and easy to use interface to announce the business to the public, whilst also having back-end features like a members log in area and CMS.
Website development – GD developed the site with multi-user back end functionality, combined with a clean, simple and contemporary user interface.

Brochure designs

Jonathan Dunn Architects have commisioned a brochure to support a pitch for new work with various clients and organisations.
Roles:
Speed – Brochure to be designed and printed in 2 days
Identity – JD Architects had no identity or logos for the ACA group, other than keywords like: clean & professional
Photo Retouch – Many of the images used were pretty bad quality but ‘just had to go in’! So photo re-touching and artworking was the order of the day!

About

The Lowdown

A digital creative with 8 years experience in both design and development. Welcome to the portfolio site of my latest front end development work along with a sprinkling of web and graphic design. Currently a Software Engineer at Holiday Extras, previously senior front end developer for Sagittarius Marketing, managing a team of Front end devs building out new responsive websites, and maintaining a diverse portfolio of client sites.

My mission is to provide a personal and approachable service with help, ideas and a solid evaluation of what is needed to get your message across, whether it be for digital or print media. I then have the knowledge and skills to transform concepts into fully functional websites or webapps that are coded cleanly and are tested across multiple browsers and devices.

Core technologies: HTML (5), CSS (3), JQuery and Javascript, with a smidge of PHP and WordPress too.

Design skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and InDesign.

I also live by the sea and love Windsurfing & Kitesurfing when I’m not working on digital projects!
